Outdoor Engagement Photos and a Husky/Wolf

An outdoor engagement session with photos of Heather, Jeremy and their two dogs! Meet Sakura, a Husky/Wolf hybrid who will be turning three in October and two year old Buhay, a Wolf/Malamute hybrid. Together the four of them are the cutest and were so much fun to photograph.

It was beautiful Fall day for an outdoor session. I will be honest when I heard that they had “part wolves” as pets, I was naturally apprehensive – I vowed to myself to not make eye contact and I would be OKAY. Well, that was probably not the most ideal considering I would be walking around with this gigantic long lens (which helped keep my distance, right?!) straight into these fur babies faces. Amazingly, the dogs did great, they didn’t care too much about who I was or why I was at times down low on the ground and then up high. I”m sure my photo antics amused them. Sakura and Buhay will be a part of this weekend’s wedding and I can honestly say, I’m looking forward to their furry cuteness parading down the aisle.

During my engagement session with Heather and Jeremy we chatted about the two of them and what activities they enjoy together.

Here is what Heather had to say, “Most of our hobbies involve our dogs or music. We like to take our dogs for walks, stopping at our favorite milkshake place in Downtown Palm Springs called Great Shakes. When we can get away from the dogs, we usually go to a concert or I watch Jeremy play music with his band”.

I had learned earlier during our wedding consultation that they had met through a mutual friend and started dating about a month after they began talking to one another.

The sweetest part of their relationship came after two years of dating. Jeremy proposed at Lulu’s on June 15, 2014. He proposed by making signs that went around the dog’s necks. Sakura’s said “Will you..” and Buhay’s said,

Of course it now seems quite appropriate for Sakura and Buhay, who played a pivotal role in the marriage proposal to be a part of their wedding ceremony wouldn’t you agree?

I always like to share my couples personal insight/advice on weddings and relationships with you, and in the words of our Bride to be supporting  each other is key!

Heather, “One of the best things that we have is that we know that relationships are hard work. Being a great team is what matters. As long as we have each other than anything is possible! Remembering to always support each other even in the hardest of times and to enjoy the little things in life like sitting on the couch in our pajamas with the pups.
