Palm Springs Destination Wedding at 436 Olancha | Mid-Century Modern Wedding
Adam & Michelle, one of the sweetest couples I’ve met from Vancouver, planned their Palm Springs destination wedding PERFECTLY!
This Palm Springs destination wedding personified all that is sunny Palm Springs!
Their love for mid-century modern architecture, the sun, the heat (it was only 99 degrees on their wedding day!), and the vibe is what drew them to celebrate their wedding day at #436 Avenida Olancha in the heart of Palm Springs.
Olancha was picture perfect with guests entering through the yellow door, and mingling poolside while we photographed the Bride and Groom prior to their intimate wedding ceremony. Of course, we could not ignore those gold foil LOVE balloons suspended in the hedge above the pool, or the oversized signature pink flamingo floating by for that added Palm Springs flair! It was a beautiful sight!
The interior of the main home has the most magnificent lime green mid-century couch and decor. Which of course meant Bride and Groom photo-opp!
The exterior suites were full of light, and mid-century modern touches were seen throughout. The radio and yellow chair in the Bride’s suite being some of my personal favorites. I grew up with a grandmother having very similar bright yellow dining room chairs with white piping and an octagon glass table! Yes, that Palm Springs vibe runs deep…and I absolutely enjoyed all the details! – You must see their invitations!! So on point! I might have done a happy dance when Michelle handed them to me, haha!
I always like to find the highlight of the day and for me, I would have to say it was when Adam and Michelle exchanged their vows that they had written to each other.
Oh, be still my heart! I knew the moment I saw the Groom with his vow book (YES!) and Michelle making final touches to her had written notes, that the tears would be flowing; and they were! I don’t think there was a dry eye. It was such a wonderful moment. It’s vividly clear…my favorite, favorite, favorite moment was when Michelle says to Adam, while placing her hand on her chest and holding her vows in her left hand, ” You’re MY ADAM”. (Cue the tissues please!)
My goodness…talk about the sweetest exchange of words, and the sincere heartfelt emotions that flowed with them. It was beautiful and Brock and I were so honored to be their photographers.
During the evening reception, the most adorable macaroon tower was displayed as a perfect reminder of how Adam had proposed to Michelle. Adam had so creatively placed her beautiful engagement ring amongst a sweet box of 6 macaroons when he proposed, could their story be any sweeter!
Congratulations again to Adam and Michelle. Your wedding was so lovely, your friends and family were amazing, your details were flawless and your love for one another was beautifully evident. We wish you many years of love and happiness! (and more vacations in Palm Springs!)

The Bride opening her floral bouquet box from David Rohr Floral Studio! I LOVE how they deliver their beautiful bouquets. Their bow is detailed with the Bride and Grooms names, wedding date and their layers of white tissue paper make seeing the bouquet for the first time so perfect!

LOVING our Bride’s dress during her reception… a Trina Turk piece never disappoints! And How about those balloons and that Flamingo! So much FUN!
