Celebrating our Jasmine’s 10th Birthday “Dream” at the American Girl Place
This past weekend our oldest celebrated her 10th Birthday! Her “dream” was to take a trip to the “actual” American Girl Place store in downtown Los Angeles. This is the first year that we skipped a big party and headed to LA. Her “best friend” accompanying her was none other than her little sister Haylie :). As you can imagine they were both ecstatic about taking this road trip “adventure” from Palm Springs to LA. (lol)
Instead of party favors it was a doll for the “friend” (who, remember is her Sister, lol) and instead of her traditional cake; this year it was “fancy” cupcakes from Sprinkles at The Grove. (btw… we of course, had to have a small family party the following day with her own cupcakes inspired from her fancy ones! Seriously, too cute!)
As you can imagine I could have taken a million pictures, but in Mommy mode (vs. pro photographer) I really tried to just be present and limit my photo taking moments to about 50 (I think I did fabulous! haha!).
It’s crazy to think that 10 years ago, I was walking into the Hospital, being told “oh sweety, this is your first one, you’ll probably be sent home”; only to be rushed into labor as I was already dilated to a 9! Oh, to be in shape and have a high tolerance for pain! I just “kinda felt something” not knowing I was seriously about to have a baby! (and this is where I will give all of you pregnant Mothers by BEST advice…and that is to WALK, walk and then walk some more. ESPECIALLY, during the last few weeks. It will make such a difference in your delivery).
And now onto our 10 year old and her fabulous, “BEST DAY EVER”, American Girl Place adventure…
Grace Thomas…AG Doll of the Year, this is what we came to buy 2 of :).
Of course they have a “mini” doll Christmas tree…I have to say I did LOVE their packaging – I’m a total sucker for good marketing and pretty boxes :).
Daddy is even getting excited about ALL the doll cases and closets!

SO excited to be at the American Girl Place with my girls!!! I mean really, who wouldn’t want to shop, sit and just stare at the perfectly pink walls and pretty dolls! It was So Fun!
