Destination Wedding at Desert Willow Golf Resort

Lauren and Zachary’s destination wedding at Desert Willow Golf Resort… a romantic Summer Wedding and surprise proposal on Seal Beach, CA!

Their Love Story: We had been work friends for awhile and one night we hit it off. Zach will joke that I never went home again. Its true, you just know when you meet the right person. We started building our lives together 6 years ago. And my wedding date was exactly a year from the day he proposed in Seal Beach Ca on the pier. Even though we had talked about marriage and had been living together I was completely surprised. He had set up the most perfect day from walking our dogs to get coffee (even though one had chewed up his new sunglasses) a bike ride to one of our favorite spots for early happy hour, then sushi dinner with my bestie and her husband. Finished with a romantic walk on the pier and then he when down on one knee. I absolutely had no idea!

I asked Lauren a few questions about her day and any advice she would give to newly engaged couples; here’s what she said.
Advice from the Bride: It goes by so fast! Like a dream. Try and take everything in and try and spend time with every guest because they are all there to support you and the beginning of your new lives together.

Favorite moment: I have several. When we were lining up to walk down the aisle, I was arm and arm with my Dad and the flower girl, Tillie, turns around and eyeballs my Dad and asks ” why aren’t you with Zach?” His reply, ” that is a very good question.” So cute! And of course My brother Ryan marrying us. Dancing with my Dad. He does not dance and he very much surprised me with his moves and twirling me around.

When photographing their wedding details I noticed how gorgeous their cake plate was, inquiring about it Lauren told me that, “Our cake plate was Waterford from Macy’s. And the cake cutting set was Lenox and a gift from my mom. Both were something that I wanted to remember my wedding by and also maybe future family would someday want to borrow for their special days as well”.  Love this!

Lauren and Zachary were amazing as a couple, so genuine and really wonderful to be around. They braved the 117 degree heat during their first look, and were amazing during their entire day with all of their family and friends. It was a joy and an honor to be a part of their wedding day!
