My new teal mug and morning scriptures

Hello lovely friends! I know the anticipation of this “new teal mug” of mine is just making your heart skip a beat right? 🙂 When I saw this SUPER perfect mug in my IG feed a few weeks back I just HAD to get it. (and if you hang with me I’ll tell you where you can order one too!)  I have been searching for over a year – no kidding – for the “perfect” hue of teal, something that would inspire me…and low and behold THIS mug practically jumped off my phone and said here I am, lol!

Not only is it the “perfect” teal color, but what is scribed on the mug is SO ME! I can’t tell you how many mornings I get up just wanting to sit and hang out with my heavenly Father. Those rare mornings when I don’t have my quiet time with Him,  just don’t seem to flow the same. They are a bit more “uneasy” if you will. Not always terrible, or super hectic, just not the same. There comes a peace like no other when you’re in the presence of God. When I put Him first and make Jesus my priority in my day, He gives me the strength, direction, wisdom, and love that I need for that day and for those around me.

So of course, I just HAD to have this mug that says, “In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus”. I kid you not, when I read it for the first time, I think I even said it out-loud “YES!” I DO need Jesus first thing bright in early at 5:30am in the morning. I know it’s just a mug, but I am a girl who loves pretty things, loves the Lord, loves to shop and loves to love you the same way Christ loves me.

Considering it’s almost “Morning” I find it appropriate to give you a few of my favorite “morning scriptures”, (you know it’s quite amazing how many times the “morning hour” is referenced in the Bible”, but that will have to be another post, another time).

A few Morning Scriptures for you:

Psalm 118:24
“This is the day the Lord has made: I will rejoice and be glad in it”.

Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you”.

Psalm 143:8

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul”.

(I am certainly not perfect and need Him to show me DAILY! What a great reminder, that we can just ask him to show us, so simple).

Psalm 5:3
“In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation”. ( for me this is an exciting expectation, not an expectation built on anxiety, but one filled with joy and peace because I know that God hears me, He knows my heart, and He is the giver of all good things, so the only thing left for me to do after laying down my requests, concerns, burdens, and thoughts, is wait like a child at Christmas, with great exciting expectation and wonder of what awesome things God is going to do, allow and reveal in my life; so exciting!).

Last but not least, my favorite (ok I have a lot of favorites, but this one is my life verse for sure), Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
