Meet Tiffany and Michael, our 2015 Engagement winners, and one of our 2016 Bride and Groom’s to be! I was so excited when Tiffany won our engagement session giveaway! You see, Tiffany was one of our Bridesmaids in 2014 for another fun couple, and I remember meeting her thinking, wow she is gorgeous, lol! Little did I know months later she and her fiance would be entering our giveaway, winning and taking me to one of the most iconic locations in Palm Springs for their engagement session! It was awesome!

We chatted location styles and ideas for a few days and then the Bob and Delores Hope Estate came into the picture and of course my answer was YES! It’s not everyday that you have the opportunity to walk such a historic location surrounded by majestic views, modern architecture from John Lautner and have your own shoot there. That was clearly an easy decision for all of us. Of course keeping the beauty of Palm Springs and the surrounding Coachella Valley in mind, we quickly ran over to….you guessed it, the windmills, right before the last bit of sunset was falling! I will admit it was hard for me to leave the Hope Estate, I could have photographed the angles, lines and views for days, lol! But alas, who doesn’t love ending a shoot with a gorgeous Palm Springs sunset, it was a win win.

Tiffany and Michael share a love for animals, and so clearly we would be including their two dogs Major and Baily in their engagement session. I will admit, I was a bit “cautious” after having this quick realization that it might not be wise to be down on the ground pointing this long lens of mine directly into the face of this pit bull, for a moment we locked eyes and all I could think of was Ceaser Milan “relax, be calm”, it was then I quickly got up, laughing to myself. Paranoid? Maybe, ok probably, but only for a few seconds, haha. At no time during our shoot did their dogs even care about what I was doing, I think they were naturally curious of their surroundings, but they were quite well behaved and loved. I can’t say my 10 year old chocolate lab would have behaved so well; even after 10years he is still one hyper dog :).
