A Wedding at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa
Randy and Kitzia chose to have their destination wedding at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, CA.
Known to many as a historical landmark with its Spanish Mission-Style architecture. Their wedding at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa gave guests a feeling of grandeur with its old-world decor, lofty domes, towers and grand archways. Majestic doors within doors (yes, that’s right!), were the entrance to the St. Francis of Assisi chapel where Randy and Kitzia proclaimed their vows to one another amongst family and friends.
I had asked Randy what had made them choose the Mission Inn, and simply put, they enjoyed the architecture and ambiance that they felt once they walked into this historical place. I could easily agree; walking down the outer hallways gave me the feeling of a European Castle. The quaint little sitting areas overlooking balconies, ancient bells within the archways, all of the many windows made me feel like I was back in Italy. I absolutely loved it!
Kitzia’s Bridal suite was itself full of old-world charm with a mix of modern elegance. It was a perfect setting and the platform for the Bride in the center of the room was an added bonus and another way to feel like a Queen, because after all…every Bride is a Queen right?! 🙂
The focus of the day was Randy and Kitzia, but it was also family. Family heirlooms wrapped around Kitzia’s bridal bouquet…the gold cross had been used in her grandparents wedding many many years ago. Photos of loved ones pinned to the stems were another reminder of the importance of family.
After their beautiful ceremony, we enjoyed photographing their families. It’s always so lovely to see so many family members and friends who travel from near and far to witness the matrimony of the ones they love.
